REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy has incorporated wholly owned subsidiary in the name of Bellary Davanagere Power Transmission. The subsidiary has been incorporated for Transmission System strengthening for integration of Additional RE Potential at Davanagere (0.25 GW) and Bellary (2.75 GW).
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
