State Bank of India trades higher on the BSE

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 1641.00, up by 25.75 points or 1.59 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1615.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1624.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1649.00 and Rs. 1614.25 respectively. So far 244510 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2550.00 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1452.90 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1697.80 and Rs. 1597.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 112263.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.31 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.49 % and 8.49 % respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) has repurchased bonds of principal amount worth $147 million of $1000 million 3.25 percent bonds due 2018. The 2018 Bonds were issued by the bank on April 18, 2013 and are listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading.

The repurchase of the Bond took place between August 26, 2013 and September 26, 2013. The bank is now in the process of cancelling the repurchased 2018 Bonds and the aggregate outstanding principal amount of the 2018 Bonds following such cancellation will be $853 million. None of the Directors or the controlling shareholder of SBI have any interest, direct or indirect, in the repurchase.
