Acme Solar starts first phase of 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat

Acme Solar Holdings has commissioned the first phase of its 100 MW wind power project, located in Surendaranagar, Gujarat. The company has commissioned the same through its subsidiary - ACME Eco Clean Energy. The commissioning was witnessed and confirmed by Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company (PGVCL) officials, and the formal certificate is expected to be issued shortly. The current commissioning of 28 MW is part of the 100 MW ACME Eco Clean wind project to be fully commissioned in phases. With this commissioning, the company's total operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW. 

The power generated from the project will be sold through the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam. The project has been financed through Power Finance Corporation (PFC) & constructed through in-house EPC, deploying SANY’s 4 MW turbines. The clean energy harnessed through the project is pooled at 33/ 220 kV pooling station and stepped up for evacuation to Shapar sub-station using a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line. The project would share the sub-station with company’s already commissioned 50 MW wind power project.
