Greaves Cotton spurts on divesting entire stake in step-down subsidiary ‘GFD’

Greaves Cotton is currently trading at Rs 59.50, up by 0.85 points or 1.45% from its previous closing of Rs 58.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 60.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 60.50 and Rs. 59.30 respectively. So far 21778 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 87.55 on 09-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.00 on 07-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 59.00 and Rs. 55.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1453.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.56% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.20% and 12.24% respectively.

Greaves Cotton for strategic purposes, has divested its entire stake in its step-down subsidiary company, Greaves Farymann Diesel GmbH (GFD), Germany. The stake in GFD was held through the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Greaves Cotton Netherlands B.V.
