Tata Motors surges on introducing CNG version of the Nano at Rs 2.52 lakh

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 354.50, up by 3.85 points or 1.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 350.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 350.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 356.00 and Rs. 349.10 respectively. So far 722231 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 364.70 on 04-Oct-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 245.35 on 30-Oct-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 364.70 and Rs. 333.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 96592.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.35% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.98% and 8.43% respectively.

Tata Motors has introduced compressed natural gas (CNG) version of the Nano at Rs 2.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The mini car will now be available across CNG markets like Delhi, Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra and Lucknow.

The Tata Nano CNG emax is powered by a fuel efficient engine, with CNG and Petrol bi-fuel system options. The car has gives a claimed mileage of 36 km/kg as per ARAI standard test conditions.

As the Nano CX CNG variant is priced at Rs 2.52 Lakh, the price of the Nano LX variant goes upto Rs 2.77 Lakhs, ex-showroom - Mumbai.
