Tata Power organises Twin City Quiz Competition at Bhubaneswar

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, has organised a 'Twin City Quiz Competition’ at College of Forestry, Odisha University of Agriculture Technology, Bhubaneswar. The theme of the quiz was 'Forest and Environment'. The objective of this competition was to create awareness and the desire to preserve nature, including forests.

Around 22 teams across Cuttack and Bhubaneswar from different colleges participated in the quiz competition. Initially, the written round was carried out with questions focusing on forest, GHGs and environment issues. Out of the 22 teams, 4 teams were selected for the question and answer round.

The final quiz comprised five rounds of direct question and answers, audio visuals, and rapid fire and voice identification rounds, covering topics like carbon footprint, save forest and natural resources, wild animals and birds.

Tata Power currently has four of its renewable projects registered under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) program by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). These projects include 50.4 MW Wind project at Gadag, 50.4 MW Wind project at Khandke and 50.4 MW Wind project at Samana in Maharashtra. The fourth project is the 25 MW Solar project at Mithapur, Gujarat.
