Whirlpool of India’s promoter entity -- Whirlpool Mauritius has divested 11.23% stake in the company through an open market transaction. Whirlpool Mauritius has offloaded 14,255,000 shares of the company at an average price of Rs 1,044.97 per share, taking the deal value to Rs 1,489.60 crore. Post this transaction, Whirlpool Mauritius’ holding in the company has dropped to 39.77% from 51%.
Meanwhile, HDFC Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, East Bridge Capital Master Fund I, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, Societe Generale ODI and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company purchased a total of 55,90,758 representing around 4.41% stake in the company.
