REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary namely ‘Ambernath Power Transmission’ on December 19, 2025. The new entity has been incorporated for establishment of 400 / 220 kV GIS in Ambernath (Dist. Thane).
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
