REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) has incorporated three wholly owned subsidiaries namely Dholpur Power Transmission, Jaisalmer Power Transmission and Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission. The said companies are also subsidiary companies of REC, in terms of the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013.
Dholpur Power Transmission has been incorporated for 400/ 220 kV Grid Sub-Station at Dholpur along with associated transmission system. Jaisalmer Power Transmission has been incorporated for 765 kV GSS Jaisalmer (Teliwara) along with associated transmission system. Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission has been incorporated for Construction of 220/ 132/ 33 kV AIS substation, Ranipur (Mau) and 220/ 132/ 33 kV AIS substation, Chunar (Mirzapur) with their associated lines.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
