Tata Power partners with CORO to launch unique initiative

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, in partnership with Committee of Resource Organizations (CORO) recently launched a unique initiative aimed at empowering women of Chembur area. Using a bifocal approach, the team will work towards the formation and strengthening of self-help groups (SHG) and propagate the Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) cause.

This initiative was launched at Chembur Welfare Marathi School, Vashi Naka. Over 300 women representing various areas of Chembur assembled for the event which was focused on the importance of awareness of the rights and economic independence of women.

Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
