Exxaro Tiles has installed a 3.8 MW DC solar power project at Rozva, Galteshwar, Kheda, Gujarat. The initiative reinforces Exxaro’s commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, and responsible manufacturing.
The solar project, set up on leased land for 25 years and 11 months, is dedicated to captive consumption for the company’s manufacturing unit at Padra, Gujarat. This plant currently consumes around 11 million electricity units annually. With solar energy now supplementing operations, the company expects to save approximately Rs 3.50 crore per annum, translating to a 30% reduction in energy costs at the unit.
Exxaro Tiles is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of vitrified tiles used majorly for flooring solutions.
