CESC’s subsidiary -- CESC Green Power has inked pact to invest around Rs 3,800 crore in the state of Uttar Pradesh for establishment of 3 GW Solar Cell/module plant, 60 MW of Solar Power Plant and ancillary units, Research & Development Lab and other infrastructural facilities. CESC Green Power has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Governor of Uttar Pradesh for the same.
CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. The company is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain right from mining coal, generating power and distribution of power.
