Public sector lender, United Bank of India has launched a new term deposit ‘United Swarna Lakshmi’. The new scheme is effective from October 07 having tenure of 444 - days deposit.
The bank will offer 9.25% per annum and the interest will be compounded at quarterly Intervals. The bank will offer additional rate of interest of 0.50% on retail term deposit for Senior Citizens but this will not be available if prematurely closed before 1 year.
The bank’s net profit for the Q4FY13 rose by 2.09% at Rs 789.38 crore as compared to Rs 773.19 crore for the Q4FY12. Its total income has increased by 15.41% to Rs 7500.59 crore for the quarter from Rs 6498.79 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
