Monnet Ispat inches up on reporting 17% rise in Q2 net profit

Monnet Ispat & Energy is currently trading at Rs 375.00, up by 0.85 points or 0.23% from its previous closing of Rs 374.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 370.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 375.95 and Rs. 370.00 respectively. So far 1840 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 682.00 on 22-Nov-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 365.00 on 21-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 413.00 and Rs 365.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2407.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.70% and 10.88% respectively.

Monnet Ispat & Energy (MIEL) has reported 17% rise in its second quarter’s net profit at Rs 76.94 crore against Rs 65.60 for the same period last year. Its total income during the quarter also rose by 27.14% to Rs 458.55 crore against Rs 360.65 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.

Monnet Ispat is the flagship company of the well diversified Monnet Group. The group currently manages manufacturing units for sponge iron, steel melting and rolling mill, ferro-alloys plant, power generation units, mining and mineral beneficiation of coal, iron ore and other minerals.
