Apollo Tyres has received approval for capacity expansion at its plant in Andhra Pradesh for Passenger Car Radial (PCR) and Truck Bus Radial (TBR) tyres. Under the expansion plan, the company will add around 3.7 million PCR tyres per annum and around 1.3 million TBR tyres per annum. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of FY2029.
The total investment for the project is Rs 5,810 crore, which will be funded by way of mix of internal accruals and Debt. The company anticipates healthy short- to medium-term growth in both PCR and TBR categories. Accordingly, the investment is planned to incrementally expand capacity in line with expected demand.
The Board of Directors of the company, at its meeting held on February 4, 2026, has approved the same.
Apollo Tyres is one of the leading tyre manufacturers in India with its product portfolio spread across tubeless and tube type tyres for cars, suvs, trucks, buses etc.
