Trident trades in fine contour on the bourses

Trident is currently trading at Rs 10.39, up by 0.17 points or 1.66% from its previous closing of Rs 10.22 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 10.11 and has touched a high and low of Rs 10.65 and Rs 10.11 respectively. So far 4908 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 18.15 on 02-Dec-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 10.00 on 21-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 10.80 and Rs 10.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 227.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.01% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.53% and 36.46% respectively.

Trident has been selected by The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) for “Top Exporters - Terry Towels” in the category of ‘Made ups’ and the Bronze trophy for “Highest Global Exports” for the year 2010-11.

Recently, the company’s Annual Report 2010-11 has been awarded the Bronze Award in Conglomerates Category at the 2011 Spotlight Awards hosted by 'League of American Communications Professionals.'

Trident earlier known as Abhishek Industries (ABIL), a part of Trident Group was promoted by Rajinder Gupta. The company has three separate divisions they were Yarn Division (YD), Paper and Chemical Division (PCD) and Terry Towel Division (TTD). The company is one of the largest manufacturer of Terry Towels in India with an installed capacity of 100 million pieces per annum (including the capacity of the ongoing expansion project which will be on stream by March 2004).
