SJVN reports 7% rise in Q2 net profit

SJVN has reported results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company has reported 7.39% rise in its net profit at Rs 415.63 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 387.03 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation of the company has increased by 4.56% at Rs 634.10 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 606.44 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
