KEC International sells Vashi Land for Rs 72.5 crore

KEC International (KEC), a billion dollar global infrastructure EPC player, has sold the leasehold rights to Vodafone Shared Services for the consideration of Rs 72.50 crore. The land is located at Trans Thane Creek Industrial Area, between Thane-Navi Mumbai, near to Vashi, Mumbai. Total Area of the land is 30,881 square meter (7.63 acres).

The company had taken this land on 95 years lease from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). On this land, the company was operating tower testing station which was already decommissioned.

KEC International is mainly into the business of design, manufacture and erection of transmission towers and power transmission lines on EPC basis. Besides, the company has now broadened its activities by diversifying into the distribution & substation sector (through rural electrification projects), railway electrification projects as well as providing services like optical fibre installations, Satellite/GPRS surveys and turnkey telecom infrastructure services.
