PNB unveils salary scheme for Kerala government employees

Punjab National Bank, public sector lender has unveiled a special salary savings account package named Total Freedom Salary Account scheme for Kerala State Government employees. In this scheme employees can maintain a zero balance account. There will not be any type of charges under the scheme and on the day of salary the amount will be credited instantly.

Under the scheme, bank is also providing the facility of provision for advance salary in the form of overdraft facility along with the ATM/Debit Card, Internet Banking, SMS alerts and free RTGS/NEFT transfer facilities. Employees can operate their account in any of the PNB branches without any charges.

The bank will also provide multiple ATM/debit cards for the use of the close relatives of the account holders. The bank will not charge for cheque books. Those who are availing car loan and housing loan from the bank will get interest concession.

Under the salary account scheme, the bank will also offer concession in interest rates for the account holders besides 50% concession in processing /documentation charge. Currently, bank offers car loan with interest of 11.25% for loans up to 3 years and 11.75% up to 7 years repayment.
