Power Grid Corporation acquires Kakinada I Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has acquired Kakinada I Transmission, the Project SPV to establish ‘Transmission system for proposed Green Hydrogen / Green Ammonia projects in Kakinada area (Phase-I)’, on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator - PFC Consulting (PFCCL). The project comprises establishment of a new 765/400kV GIS Sub-station along with STATCOM and 765kV transmission line works in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Kakinada I Transmission has been acquired by POWERGRID pursuant to POWERGRID emerging as the successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding.
