CESC rises as its arm incorporates wholly owned subsidiary

CESC is currently trading at Rs. 169.70, up by 0.75 points or 0.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 168.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 168.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 170.75 and Rs. 168.10 respectively. So far 38874 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 204.40 on 04-May-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 138.05 on 27-Jan-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 171.45 and Rs. 162.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 22,494.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.85% and 10.04% respectively.

CESC’s subsidiary -- Crescent Power has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary company -- Novarion Power (NPPL). NPPL will explore opportunity in renewable power sector.

Recently, the company’s subsidiary -- Purvah Green Power had incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary company named Purvah Energy Ventures (PEVPL) to explore opportunities in the renewable power sector. 

CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal.
