Tata Power Company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for providing energy storage service from Pumped Storage Plant (PSP) of 324MW / 2592 MWH capacity for 40 years from scheduled commencement of supply date at agreed fixed annual charge and cycle loss. SECI will sign Pumped Storage Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Company subsequent to signing of Pumped Storage Sale Agreement with buying entities.
The company shall commence supply of storage capacity within 36 months of effective date of PPA. Annual Fixed Charge of Rs 1.08 crore/MW/Year with annual cycle loss of 24.61%. The total annual fixed charge for 324 MW capacity is Rs 351.3 crore.
