Bosch’s Bangalore plant workmen resort to ‘Tool Down’ strike

Bosch’s Bangalore plant workmen have resorted to a ‘Tool Down’ strike with effect from second shift of November 14, 2013, without giving any prior notice to management. In view of the union’s illegal and unjustified strike, the management of the company has decided to shut down Plant operations for workmen at Bangalore plant with effect from night shift of November 14, 2013 till further notice. The company is making every possible effort to resolve the matter and restore normalcy at the earliest.

Bosch is a major player in the diesel segment and 60% of its sales come from diesel segment. It is also among the larger suppliers of common rail direct injection (CRDI) systems in India. The company buys half of the components required for the CRDI systems (by value) locally.
