ACC has received approval to acquire 26% equity shares of Amplus Andhra Power. With this, the company wishes to offtake the electricity generated from the project as a captive user under captive consumption framework prescribed under the Electricity Act and the rules framed thereunder. The cost of the said acquisition is around Rs 5.31 crore. The proposed acquisition is expected to be completed on or before October 30, 2026.
The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on July 24, 2026, has, inter-alia, approved the same. Amplus Andhra Power is engaged in the business of Infrastructure and Renewable Energy.
