TVS Motor Company has acquired 1,13,37,297 equity shares of TVS Credit Services (TVS CS), a subsidiary of the company from Lucas-TVS (Lucas TVS) constituting 4.39% of the paid-up share capital in TVS CS for an aggregate consideration of Rs 711 crore. The transaction has been completed on July 27, 2026.
The acquisition is proposed to consolidate the company's stake in TVS CS by acquiring the shares held by the other shareholders and is expected to streamline ownership and facilitate operational efficiencies. Consequent to the above, the shareholding of the company in TVS CS shall increase from 80.76% to 85.15% (on a fully diluted basis).
