KP Energy surges on executing power purchase agreement with GUVNL

KP Energy is currently trading at Rs. 314.85, up by 8.15 points or 2.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 306.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 309.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 318.25 and Rs. 309.40 respectively. So far 1041 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 540.00 on 01-Aug-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 242.00 on 09-Mar-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 318.25 and Rs. 302.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2125.81 crore.

KP Energy has executed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) for development of a Grid Connected Wind Power Project under IPP segment of the Company, having a contracted capacity of 100 MW. The PPA has been executed pursuant to the Letter of Intent dated March 30, 2026, issued by GUVNL under the tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted under GUVNL's Wind Tender Phase X and subsequent approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) for the tariff and PPA.

This PPA marks yet another significant step for the company, taking its cumulative IPP portfolio past 250 MW and reinforcing its position as a trusted long-term partner to India's leading power utilities in building the nation's renewable energy future.
