REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development and Consultancy has incorporated two subsidiary companies namely 'Vikramshila Power Transmission' and 'Alkud-II Power Transmission'. The said companies are also subsidiary companies of REC.

Vikramshila Power Transmission has been incorporated for Evacuation of Power from 3x800 MW STPP Pirpainti. Alkud IT Power Transmission has been incorporated for Establishment of 765 / 4001220 kV AIS Alkud-II/ Jath (Dist. Sangli).

REC is a Government of India Enterprise engaged in extending financial assistance across the power sector value chain and Infra & Logistic and is a Systemically Important (Non-Deposit Accepting or Holding) Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) registered with Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
