Wyeth’s board of directors at its meeting held on November 23, 2013 has approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of Wyeth with Pfizer under the provisions of Sections 391 to 394 and other applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.
Wyeth is the Indian subsidiary of US-based Pharma Company Wyeth, a global leader in pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare and animal health products. It was established in 1947 as a company under the name Lederle Laboratories (India). In 1962, the name was changed to Cyanamid India.
