Ather Energy has introduced its new electric scooter ‘Konarc’, taking another step toward making EVs mainstream. Built on the Ather’s new EL platform, Konarc brings the company’s engineering and technology to a wider base of Indian riders, with a refined experience built around ride comfort, range, durability and ease of ownership.
Konarc will be available across the S and Z product lines, with six variants in total. The S line comprises four variants with IDC ranges of 100 km, 125 km, 161 km, and 200 km, while the Z line comprises two variants with IDC ranges of 125 km and 161 km. Konarc will be available in Quartz White, Lumen Copper, Celestial Gold, and Majestic Grey, with Steel Blue and Claret Red available exclusively on the higher-end Z variants.
Konarc also brings a simpler ownership proposition, with service required only once a year for most riders and a 10-year/100,000 km (whichever is earlier) warranty on its fifth-generation Bedrock battery. The scooter introduces a suite of new features including MagicKey, AutoPop, AirWalk and Ather’s Advanced Electronic Braking System (AeBS).
The Konarc S 125 km and Konarc S 161 km variants will be available initially, with bookings and deliveries beginning in mid-September in a phased manner. The rollout will start with select variants and states before expanding to more locations across the country. The Konarc S 100 km is priced at Rs 99,999, the Konarc S 125 km at Rs 1,21,999, and the Konarc S 161 km at Rs 1,44,999, effective ex-showroom Bengaluru.
