02 Sep 2026 Evaluate

R&B Denims’ subsidiary – Ricon Industries has enhanced the scope of existing business by entering into the polyester yarn manufacturing. Ricon Industries is all set to commence commercial production of polyester yarn on September 30, 2026 at its existing unit located in Mangarol, Surat district. Ricon Industries has invested around Rs 25 crore as an initial capital outlay to cover machinery, skilled manpower, and infrastructure modifications.

The new line of business specifically focuses on the value-added manufacturing of denim garments such as jeans, jackets, and other apparel. This marks a forward integration of the company’s existing denim fabric manufacturing operations, allowing it to move up the value chain from fabric to finished products. This venture into polyester yarn manufacturing is a strategic move aimed at enhancing the company’s value proposition, improving profitability, and ensuring long-term sustainability. The expected benefits include vertical integration of operations, converting in-house denim fabric into finished garments to improve margins.

The new business line also offers potential to expand into B2C or D2C retail segments, and opportunity to tap into the growing apparel export market and attract global brands. Further, it provides diversification of revenue streams, reducing the impact of fabric market fluctuations, and support for the company’s ESG initiatives by incorporating sustainable garmenting practices.

R&B Denims is engaged in the business of manufacturing and sale of quality Denim Textile products.
