Asian Paints has commenced commercial production of Vinyl Acetate Ethylene Emulsion (VAE) at its VAE manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat, having an installed capacity of 1,50,000 tons per annum. The VAE manufactured at the facility is intended to be primarily utilised for captive consumption at the company’s paint manufacturing facilities.
The commencement of commercial production at the facility marks a significant mark in the company's ongoing backward integration initiatives. The construction of VAM manufacturing, ethylene storage and handling facilities is in progress.
Asian Paints manufactures a wide range of paints for decorative and industrial use and also offers Wall Coverings, water proofing, adhesives and services under its portfolio.
