BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in his rally in Rajasthan targeted Congress president Sonia Gandhi, asking voters not to be taken in by her concerns for the poor. Modi in a counter argument, for Sonia Gandhi's question about where were they during the last five years, told that they were using a microscope to find out where the Rajasthan government was, just like the rest of nation that is trying to find out where the government in Delhi was.

Sonia Gandhi in a rally two days earlier at the same venue, said, "When the opposition comes seeking votes, you should ask ‘Where were they during the last five years? They never tried to understand the problems faced by people."

Modi accused the Congress of destroying the country over the past six decades. Stating that the people would not be fooled anymore, asked the people not to believe what the Congress or its president said. He further added that the Congress was not worried about the poor and the party was habituated of breaking promises and added Jisne vada toda, usse naata todo (Break ties with those who breach promises).

Rajasthan will vote December 1 to pick a new 200-member assembly. The vote count will take place Dec 8 along with Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
