IL&FS Transportation’s arm enters into joint venture pact with three Chinese Companies

In a bid to take up infrastructure projects with focus on roads, IL&FS Transportation Networks’ wholly owned Singaporean subsidiary ITNL International has entered into a joint venture pact with three companies based in China.

ITNL will establish an equity joint venture named Chongqing Heng Yi Project Maintenance and Technology Consultancy in collaboration with Chongqing Expressway Group Company, Jiangsu Transportation Institute and China Railway 13th Bureau Group Co. and will hold 28 per cent equity interest in the venture.

The JV will undertake and provide consultancy for testing and inspection of roads, tunnels and bridges, offer design of special maintenance work, set up maintenance management system and structural safety assessment system and expand service to overseas projects. It will also take up maintenance works in SE Asia, Africa and South America.
