Ravindra Energy’s joint venture (JV) -- Energy In Motion (EIM) has opened state-of-the-art Electric Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicle (truck, tractor-trailer, dumper etc.) Complex at village Ambi, Talegaon, Pune. The integrated complex brings together an Electric Heavy Commercial Vehicle Assembly Facility, a Lithium-ion Battery Pack Assembly Factory and an Independent Battery Testing Laboratory, creating a unified ecosystem for manufacturing, battery technology and testing.
Representing Energy in Motion’s commitment to an integrated, future-ready ecosystem, this state-of-the-art, Industry 4.0-enabled complex was developed in just over a year from signing the MoU with initial capacity of 5000 vehicles/shift/year. It is the first phase of EIM’s 1000 crore investment in Maharashtra. It is expected to create over 2000 direct and indirect jobs plus work opportunities in design, R&D and IT. The facility integrates commercial vehicle assembly, Lithium-ion heavy battery pack assembly and an independent battery testing laboratory within single complex. This unified approach strengthens EIM’s capabilities across the entire value chain.
In addition to manufacturing heavy electric vehicles, Energy in Motion is building nationwide battery swapping and charging infrastructure along major highways, ports and industrial complexes. These megawatt scale hubs can swap batteries of EIM vehicles and other compatible makes in less than 7 minutes and fast charge any vehicle equipped with the DC fast charging BIS standard (CCS-2) socket.
Energy In Motion is jointly controlled by Ravindra Energy and the J M Baxi Group.
Ravindra Energy seeks to create a leading position in the provision of solar energy utilising the unique characteristics of solar PV generation.
