GPCB revokes closure order issued to Sabero Organics' Sarigam unit

The Environmental Engineer, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gandhi Nagar has revoked its closure order for a period of 3 months issued to Sabero Organics Gujarat’s Sarigam unit during which period the company will ensure adherence of guidelines stipulated by GPCB.

The GPCB has taken this step pursuant to its visit and inspection at the company’s unit. Consequent to the revocation order, the company continues to operate the plant without any disruption.

Earlier on November 15, 2013, GPCB had advised the company to close the production process at Sarigam unit in Gujarat, within 15 days stating that there were certain non-compliances of the environmental parameters.

Sabero Organics Gujarat (SABERO) was established in the year 1991 to manufacture specialty chemicals and intermediates for the crop protection business. Sabero then forward integrated in 1997 into manufacturing crop protection chemicals.
