NTPC Green Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary -- NTPC Renewable Energy has started commercial operation of 95.6 MW at its Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan effective on October 30, 2026. This is the fifth part of the 650 MW solar component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project.
The current commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy group stands at 11,328.69 MW. With the addition of this capacity, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy group increases to 11,424.29 MW.
NTPC Green Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, a ‘Maharatna’ central public sector enterprise. The company is mainly engaged in the activity of developing, building, owning, operating and maintaining utility scale grid connected solar and wind power projects (through O&M operations and in-house engineering).
