TVS Motor Company registered 2.10% rise in total sales for the month of December, which stood at 1,59,495 units as against 1,56,221 units recorded in December 2012. The company registered total two-wheeler sales of 1,53,358 units in December 2013, up by 1.07% as against 1,51,735 units recorded in December 2012. Domestic two wheeler sales were recorded at 1,32,664 units in December 2013 as against 1,34,566 units registered in the month of December 2012.
Scooters sales grew by 37.56% increasing from 30,398 units in December 2012 to 41,817 units in December 2013. Motorcycles sales for the month of December 2013 stood at 57,567 units against 60,210 units in December 2012. Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 36.80%, growing considerably from 4,486 units in December 2012 to 6,137 units in December 2013.
The company's total exports grew by 27.39% with sales increasing from 20,251 units in the month of December 2012 to 25,797 units in December 2013. Two wheeler exports registered a growth of 20.53% with sales growing from 17,169 units in December 2012 to 20,694 units in December 2013.
