Hindustan Motors reports 32.57% fall in production of passenger vehicles in December

Hindustan Motors (HM) has reported a fall of 32.57% in production of passenger vehicles for the month of December 2013 at 323 units compared to 479 units in the same month of the last year. In the Light Commercial Vehicle segment, the company has reported production of 2 units in December 2013 as compared to 27 units produced in the month of December, 2012.

The company sold 356 units of passenger vehicles in the month of December 2013 as compared to 481 units sold in December 2012, while the company sold 2 units in Light Commercial Vehicle space compared to 9 units sold in December 2012.

Hindustan Motors is India’s pioneering automobile manufacturing company manufactures passenger cars, Multi Utility Vehicles and RTV. It also manufactures passenger cars in the mid size premium segment (Mitsubishi Lancer, Lancer Select, and Lancer Cedia) and has brought the Sports Utility Vehicle (Mitsubishi Pajero) into the Indian market, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors of Japan.
