M&M sells over 75000 units of its iconic XUV500 in just over 2 years

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a part of the $ 16.7 billion Mahindra Group had sold more than 75,000 units of its cheetah-inspired XUV500 in just over two years since its launch. Launched in end-September 2011, the XUV500 was designed entirely in-house at Mahindra’s world class research and development facility called Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai, and has, since launch, set a benchmark of its own.

The company has recently launched the entry level ‘W4’ model of the XUV500 at an attractive price of Rs 10.95 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The entry level W4 model is powered by the mHawk 140 bhp engine. In addition to the Cheetah-inspired design, it boasts of a range of technology, safety and comfort features.
