GAIL India gains on reporting 31% rise in Q3 net profit

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 346.95, up by 1.85 points or 0.54 % from its previous closing of Rs. 345.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 345.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 352.50 and Rs. 341.25 respectively. So far 115365 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 359.40 on 29-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 273.00 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 353.55 and Rs. 341.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 43546.83 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.34 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.70 % and 2.57 % respectively.

GAIL India has reported 30.71% rise in its net profit at Rs 1679.40 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 1284.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company increased by 28.09% at Rs 16038.52 crore for quarter under review, as compared to Rs 12521.55 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.

GAIL is India's flagship natural gas company integrating all aspects of the natural gas value chain including exploration and production, processing, transmission, distribution and marketing and related services.
