Punjab National Bank adds 56 Branches, 121 ATMs during third quarter

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has added 56 branches and 121 Automated Teller Machine (ATMs) during the third quarter ended December 31, 2013. The total network now stands at 6075 branches and 6698 ATMs. The bank’s Retail loans outstanding grew by 17.5% on YoY basis to reach Rs 36066 crore at quarter ended December 31, 2013. The bank’s CASA deposits increased from Rs 142442 crore in December 2012 to Rs160961 crore in December 2013 recording a growth of 13.0%.

Punjab National Bank has reported 42.14% fall in its net profit at Rs 755.41 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 1305.62 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 3.68% at Rs 11922.30 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 11499.27 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
