Hindustan Motors reports 69.14% fall in production of passenger vehicles in January

Hindustan Motors (HM) has reported a fall of 69.14% in production of passenger vehicles for the month of January 2014 at 233 units compared to 755 units in the same month of the last year. In the Light Commercial Vehicle segment, the company has reported production of 6 units in January 2014 as compared to 34 units produced in the month of January, 2013.

The company sold 284 units of passenger vehicles in the month of January 2014 as compared to 727 units sold in January 2013, while the company sold 3 units in Light Commercial Vehicle space compared to 21 units sold in January 2013.

Hindustan Motors is India’s pioneering automobile manufacturing company manufactures passenger cars, Multi Utility Vehicles and RTV. It also manufactures passenger cars in the mid size premium segment (Mitsubishi Lancer, Lancer Select, and Lancer Cedia) and has brought the Sports Utility Vehicle (Mitsubishi Pajero) into the Indian market, in collaboration with Mitsubishi Motors of Japan.
