Jaiprakash Power Ventures has been conferred with the ‘National Awards for the Meritorious Performance in the Power Sector’ at a ceremony conducted by Ministry of Power at Vigyan Bhawan on February 4, 2014. The said awards were given away on the basis of evaluation carried out by Central Electricity Authority.
The company was presented Gold Shield for the year 2012-13 for Baspa-II Hydro Electric plant in the category of ‘Performance of Hydro Power Stations’; Gold Shield for the year 2011-12 for Baspa-II Hydro Electric plant in the category of ‘Performance of Hydro Power Stations’.
The company also bagged the Gold Shield for the year 2011-12 for Unit -IV of Karcham Wangtoo Hydro Electric plant in the category of ‘Early completion of Hydro Power Projects’ and Silver Shield for the year 2011-12 for Unit -II of Karcham Wangtoo Hydro Electric plant in the category of ‘Early completion of Hydro Power Projects’.
