Suzlon Energy declines on reporting consolidated net loss of Rs 1075.25 crore in Q3

Suzlon Energy is currently trading at Rs. 10.37, down by 0.55 points or 5.04 % from its previous closing of Rs. 10.92 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 10.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 10.80 and Rs. 9.90 respectively. So far 1159639 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 25.30 on 28-Feb-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5.72 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 11.45 and Rs. 10.81 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2575.23 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.34 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.89 % and 32.49 % respectively.

Suzlon Energy has reported a net loss of Rs 673.62 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to net profit of Rs 930.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 458% at Rs 564.71 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 101.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.

On the consolidated basis, the group has reported a net loss after taxes and Minority Interest and Share of Profit of Associates of Rs 1075.25 crore for the quarter as compared to net loss of Rs 1154.53 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the group has increased by 24.27% at Rs 5063.02 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4074.10 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
