IDBl Bank, one of the registrars for the enrolment of residents for Aadhaar project of UIDAI has launched its enrolment in Bihar for its customers, their relatives and other residents on December 1, 2011. The bank is proud to be a part of a national mission in providing Unique Identification Number or Aadhaar to the residents of India.
The Bank perceived Aadhaar as mighty tool to empower the common person by facilitating him/her access to a modem financial system of the country as also a step towards a sustainable and inclusive growth, which in turn was essential for building an equitable society.
UID Aadhar Project involves giving identification to the number, in which 12 digit numbers will be given to the person as his identity, which will be a kind of link to all demographic details, bank accounts and thus will help the common people in accessing government programmes, rigging in elections as well as embezzlement of government.
Recently, the bank had launched ‘Aadhaar' enrolments in Kerala on November 23, 2011. The bank has started the enrolment at seven branches in five locations.
