M&M's Electric Vehicles' arm slashes prices of electric car by Rs 1.7 lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), country’s major automobile maker’s business conglomerate Reva Electric Vehicles has cut the price of its electric car e2o by up to Rs 1.7 lakh by introducing EMI scheme under which a consumer pays a rental fee for the battery. Under the scheme, the company is offering five years’ installment for all the three variants of the car, wherein the customers will have to pay an upfront cost of the car and pay for the battery over a period of five years at a monthly EMI of Rs 2,599.

The company will also provide 24x7 assistance and guarantee a courtesy car during battery repair period. At present, Delhi base variant of the e2o will come at Rs 4.99 lakh as against Rs 6.5 lakh earlier.
