Kingfisher Airlines launches nine new flights

Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) has announced the launch of nine new flights on its domestic network. The airline company has also announced new direct flights to Mumbai from Thiruvananthapuram. The flight between Thiruvananthapuram and Mumbai would operate four days in a week. Kingfisher Airlines becomes the only airline in India to offer flight services between Mumbai-Kolhapur, New Delhi-Pantnagar and Jabalpur-Indore. The launch of these nine new flights will further strengthen its presence in the country as the airline with the largest domestic route network.

The new flights will offer the Kingfisher Red service which features sky treats, a cuisine service at affordable prices, reading material, frequent flier privileges and multiple check-in options.

The company has registered a loss from ordinary activities after tax of Rs 1027.40 crore as compared to a net loss of Rs 1647.22 crore for FY10. Its income from operation has increased by 24.95% at Rs 6359.64 crore for the year from Rs 5089.87 crore in previous year.

Kingfisher Airlines is one of the seven airlines to be ranked as a 5-star airline by the independent research consultancy firm Skytrax. KFA operates 330 daily flights to 60 cities in the country and eight international destinations with a fleet of 66 aircraft.
