Lanco Infratech shines on becoming successful bidder for EPC contract worth Rs 3,960 crore

Lanco Infratech is currently trading at Rs. 6.60, up by 0.29 points or 4.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 6.31 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 6.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 6.72 and Rs. 6.50 respectively. So far 363209 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 14.25 on 14-Mar-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4.96 on 06-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6.84 and Rs. 6.26 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1591.56 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.61% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.29% and 24.10% respectively.

Lanco Infratech has become the successful bidder of the prestigious EPC Contract for establishing 1 x 660 MW Super Critical Ennore Thermal Power Station Expansion Project’ by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). The Letter of Intent would be issued shortly as confirmed by TANGEDCO . The value of the EPC Contract is about Rs 3,960 crore.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu handed over the confirmation letter to Executive Chairman of Lanco Infratech.
