Sobha Developers, one of India’s leading real estate companies has celebrated National Safety Day on March 4, 2014 in a unique way. The Company, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), conducted a massive blood donation camp and various safety awareness programmes for its workforce at its contractual worksites across the country for Infosys, Bosch and Dell.
About 10,000 employees participated in the programme. These employees belonged to Infosys, Dell, Bosch and Sobha. The day began with hoisting the safety flag and a demonstration of best safety practices at work. A training was conducted for the Sobha workforce on ‘Working at Height’ and skits elaborating safety practices were showcased. Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering also conducted an informative session on health and safety in construction.
Sobha has presence in seven cities -- Bangalore, Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Coimbatore, Mysore and Thrissur. It has completed 83 projects aggregating to 20.78 million sq ft of saleable area and is presently developing 43 projects with 17.4 million sq ft of saleable area.
