Jindal Steel & Power’s (JSPL) subsidiary - Jindal Power has commissioned 600 mw Power Plant at Tamnar in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. The conglomerate has already 1,000 mw operational capacity at the same location. The latest addition is part of proposed four new units of 600 mw each to be set up.
The total capacity at Tamnar would be 3400 mw after completion of the expansion projects. The new unit achieved full load capacity on March 10. The private power company plans to commission other two units this month. One of these units has already been synchronized on February 22 and other is in advanced stage of synchronization. Jindal Power targets to have installed capacity of 10,000 mw by 2020 with combine resources of power in thermal, hydro, solar and wind.
